我想問下$HK depreciate against $JAP.Q1: will the export VALUE increase in term of $HK?Q2: will the import VALUE decrease in term of $ JAP?如果以上的說法是對的話,個2幅圖應該如何畫呢?

不過, 題目冇講清楚係問Hong Kong or Japan嘅export value (出口總值), 亦都冇講清楚係問Hong Kong or Japan嘅import value (入口總值), 如果題目所問嘅係指Hong Kong, 你答啱啦, Ben!

Question 1:export方面, export price in terms of JPY (以日圓為單位之出口價格) 下降, law of demand (需求定律)解釋到 export volume (出口數量) 上升, 由於 export price in terms of HKD(以港元為單位之出口價格)冇變, export volume上升, 咁所以export value in terms of HKD(以港元為單位之出口總值)會上升。

Question 2:import方面, import price in terms of HKD (以港元為單位之入口價格) 上升, law of demand (需求定律)解釋到 import volume (入口數量) 下降, 由於 import price in terms of JPY(以日圓為單位之入口價格)冇變, import volume下降, 咁所以import value in terms of JPY(以日圓為單位之入口總值)會下降。

要畫圖顯示price唔變, quantity 上升/下降, 有兩個可能性, 第一, demand上升/下降, 即demand curve (需求曲線)左移/右移, 而price 維持唔變,; 第二, demand curve 打橫, 所以price維持唔變,, 只顯示quantity上升/下降。因為exchange rate 改變,( 即price改變) 只影響quantity demanded (需求量),而唔係因為other factors (其他因素) 改變, 所以唔係影響demand (需求), 即係話demand curve 唔會左移/右移, 咁咪唔會係第一個可能性, 而係第二果個。 Marking scheme 未見過呢幅圖?梗係啦! 會考從未試過叫人畫d唔係downward sloping (向下傾斜) 嘅demand curve, 可以放心, Question 1 and 2呢種問法响會考唔會考畫圖, 淨寫解釋 , see 06-B10(a)(iii) (2分) 。睇番十幾年前嘅pastpaper, Exchange rates & Ed + area (率,需求價格彈性+面積)題目係常客, 考同學當price 上升(下降), quantity下降 (上升)嘅時候, Ed 會點至令到export/import value上升/下降, see 98-B11(b)(8M), 02-B12(a)(ii)(7M), 06-B10(a)(ii)(6M)。大家不妨參考番 “會考經濟(20/04/2007) SonofEco 問”經濟友寫嘅remarks, 希望會幫到大家啦!
