Gillry : 我想問究竟decrease in import係會令GDP上升定係remain unchanged!? 同埋如果o係elastic demand既goods加tax(本身已經有，而家加多D),甘個tax revenue係升係跌定係uncertain? thank you =)

Gillry,

1. 如果C,I,G,M唔變, 因為GDP=C+I+G+(X-M), 所以decrease in import (M)會令GDP上升。
2. 本身己有sales tax, 再加多D, 令到producer (生產者) 嘅cost of production (生產成本)再高D , 所以supply (供給)再下降D, 結果price(價格)上升, quantity(數量)下降, tax revenue (稅項收益) = per unit tax (從量稅) x quantity, 如果件貨係elastic demand, % decrease in quantity 大過% increase in price (tax) ,咁所以tax revenue 會下降。
